Anyone who has ever lived in Durban or been around during the time of the Comrades knows what an incredible time it is. Hundreds of families come out and people line the streets every bit of the way. It’s very festive and very special and now grown to 18000 entries. That’s incredible!
The Comrades Marathon starts at City Hall in Durban and finishes at The Cricket Oval in Pietermaritzburg, making a distance of approximately 87km. Despite the threat of humidity, something Durbanites know all too well, it’s an exceptionally beautifully route and completing it is a real achievement for runners.
